The Team at K9 Command helped our Lola become a member of the family again. On Thursday we dropped of a highly reactive, high energy, lab/shepherd mix that we got from a rescue about a year ago.

On runs, Lola would pull every direction and almost made me a fall a few times, even after an hour of running she would not keep a steady pace and still lunge and bark at other dogs.

We tried to camp with Lola and she barked at dogs the entire time and even jumped on a couple of little girls that wanted to pet her.

Overall, a basket case, and it seemed things were progressively getting worse. We were frustrated and Lola was clearly unhappy as well.

Saturday, 48 hours later we met with Jevry so she could go over what Lola had learned and teach us how to work with Lola in order to maintain and improve on what she had learned. It was truly amazing to watch this normally stressed/anxious dog watch dogs, other animals, and people running by without a care in the world. She did not even notice the lady jogging while juggling 3 bowling pins (Green Lake Park…)

Jevry handed Lola over to me and guided me through how to properly apply the techniques her Team used to train Lola. 30 minutes later and we left with our incredibly well behaved dog. Then drove to the pet store by our house. I had to test this without Jevry present.

I followed the simple instructions on getting Lola set up with her collar and leash, she hopped out of the car when I asked her, and took a seat next to my left leg. At the entrance we encountered two dogs that lunged at her, one quick correction and she was focused on me. We walked to several places in the store where she would auto sit (sometimes on her own and a few times with help). She was being very good, so when the two children around 4 and 5 asked to pet her I let them. Lola sat with her tail wagging the entire time. No jumping, no lunging. When it was time to line up at the register there was a dog in front of us that was extremely worked up. Lola needed a quick correction because she did not auto sit. Once she sat the other dog seemed to get more worked up and upset. Lola then laid down next to my left foot and watched with relatively little interest as the other dog jerked its owner all over the place.

We now have a dog we can take anywhere and not worry about how she will behave. We spend a lot on our animals. This is by far the best investment we have ever made.

Thank you K9 Command.
