Murphy, a 6 month old Labradoodle, whose family contacted us 10 hours after adopting him with an emergency. Stating Murphy was constantly barking, howling, whining, and biting. He was nipping his owners arms, ripping their clothes, lunging and overall knew no boundaries.

Murphy would pull his leash all over the place and feverishly jump on his owners. He was easily excited and very anxious. They had a difficult time taking Murphy anywhere as he would would try to jump out of the window and generally not ride well in a vehicle. When trying to correct Murphy’s behavior he would become worse and generally described him as over-hyper and destructive.
Murphy spent 3 weeks with us here at K9 Command. In that time we were able to teach Murphy how to loose-leash walk with auto-sit (next to handler when they stop on walk), Sit, Down, and Place command (remain on specified surface until commanded otherwise). Most importantly we were able to address Murphy’s anxiety. Murphy’s anxiety would manifest itself in a consistently high pitch whimper which forced his family to keep him outside, alienating Murphy from his family.
Murphy now lives a normal, active life inside the home with his family and other pets. Most importantly we were able to empower Murphy’s family with the tools and training necessary to increase the quality of life for both dog and owner.
